The term “Think Tank” is a 20th century idea. The idea of “get some smart people together to think about the problem. is probably older than agriculture. It’s snobbery to think that we’re much much smarter than our ancestors. Just because the times called for peoples smarts to be used in ruthless infighting instead of technological advancement doesn’t make them dumb.
